Spring/Summer hockey is back!
We are excited to announce the return of spring/summer hockey, and we can’t wait to get back on the ice! This year, we will be fielding teams for U12, U14, U16, and U19 divisions.
Our goal is to compete in top-tier American and Canadian tournaments. In our inaugural year, we proudly worked with many players that are playing for or have committed to NCAA Division 1, NCAA Division 3, and ACHA women’s hockey programs.

U12 Team (Pilot Program)
The U12 team will serve as a pilot program and marks the first step towards introducing competitive high-level hockey.
If there is enough interest from this age group, we could expand to more development weekends. Potential tournament locations for the U12 team include either Vancouver or Minnesota.
U14, U16, and U19 Teams
For the U14, U16, and U19 teams, we have planned four training weekends and three tournaments. Based on the number of players registered, we will determine which teams will participate in which tournaments, as each tournament has different age requirements.
We are also looking for a couple managers per team! If you would like to volunteer and help out, it would be fantastic.
Please make a note of the following birth years for each age group when you sign up;
– U19: Birth years 2006, 2007, 2008*
– U16: Birth years 2008*, 2009, 2010*
– U14: Birth years 2010*, 2011
– U12: Birth years 2012, 2013,2014
*Stars indicate that if a player has played up this year, they are welcome to sign up for the age group they played or request to move up to the next age group. Players will be placed on teams that will best support their skill development and growth.
Tentative schedule;
– May 9-11 or May 16-18 first training weekend McCall or SV deciding on location
– May 23-25 Vancouver tournament
– June 6-8 Minnesota Showdown
– June 27-29 training weekend SLC
– July 11-12 SLC/ or SV training weekend
– July 18-20 Boston Beantown
– August 1-3 possibly Minnesota tournament or we will do a local CHS event instead of Minnesota and include your paid fees in showcase fees.
– August 8-10 development weekend location TBD + possibly College Hockey Showcase

Coaching Staff;
We are thrilled to have a talented coaching staff this year, including Val Manchak-Jensen, Madison Farrand, and Rob Johnson, who are dedicated to helping our players thrive.
Madison Farrand has been leading spring/summer, helping with Utah Grizz Tier I organization, has Tier I coaching experience with Washington Pride and played NCAA D1 hockey at RIT. She is one of the leaders of the spring/summer program last year along coach Val.
Rob Johnson is the newly appointed Head Coach of the 19U Tier 1 team for the Utah Grizzlies, bringing extensive coaching experience and a strong record in player development. Previously, he served as the 16U Tier 2 Coach and Director of Tier 1 for the Utah Lady Grizzlies. Originally from Flint, Michigan, Rob’s journey includes junior leagues in Flint and Sault Ste. Marie, collegiate play as a two-year captain at Becker College, and professional experience in Stockholm. His coaching highlights include leading the 16U Tier 2 Jr. Kings and developing Tier 1 teams with the LA Lions girls hockey organisation.
We will announce a couple more coaches and helpers based on the number of teams that we are fielding.
Tryouts information
You have the opportunity to choose one weekend from two proposed dates at two different locations;
– Saturday, March 22nd: Tryout in Salt Lake City + Clinic on Saturday
– Saturday, March 29th: Tryout in Sun Valley + Clinic on Sunday
You are required to attend one of these weekends, but you’re welcome to participate in both if you wish. Additionally, we will be offering a clinic that you can register for separately!
Tryout will consist of one hour skills session and one hour scrimmage.
Holiday clinic is an hour and half or three hours depending which date and location.
Costs and expenses;
Cost for the program for the U14, U16 And U19 will be $1620 There is a limited amount of discounts available as well based on need. U12 will cost $650 based on 1 tournament and 2 development weekends, jersey included.
Cost of the tryout is $65. Clinic prices will be TBD.
Deadline for registration for tryout – February 10th.
